Classroom is a process of learning. Though Rabindra Nath Tagore wanted to teach the students in a different manner. Although, we still follow the classroom method. We have so many schools and there are classrooms. After school we go to the colleges and again we find same thing ‘classroom’. But, Public Relations Society of India, Kolkata Chapter thinks differently. They introduced “Beyond the Class room”, a two months course to make students aware about the professional world.
Mr Soumyajit Mahapatra, Chairman, PRSI, Kolkata Chapter keeping an eye on professional development of the students. This course offers Media Relations, Soft Skill, CSR Communication, Content Writing, Designing and preparing a house journal, Inclusive communication, Career counseling, Communication through art, Image management,Crisis management of a company, House Journal, Media Relations, Internal Communications, Corporate Relations and Advertisement, Corporate Communications, Photo walk, Blogging, Corporate and Celebrities interviews, Social media campaign followed by a Photography exhibition named ‘Kolkata portrait’ is going to held at ICCR, Kolkata on 12 th July. The students of this batch captured very beautiful moments. Mr, Partha Kar and Mr.Suvendu Das, renowned photo journalists worked as mentor.

Students of this batch going to organize Engage Digital Summit on 8th August 2016 at ITC Sonar Bangla. This is the biggest digital summit in East India. There will be workshops, Conversations in it. Any one who have interest about digital media can apply for delegation.
This course can be a life changing experience according to the students. Students have to pass an entrance examination to pursue the course. The teachers from different fields shares their experiences which make the students enrich. Many students got jobs after completing this course.
